Grape Variety
Production Area
San Benedetto di Lugana, the grapes come from the "Le Creete" estate vineyard characterized by a high content of white clay. The grapes are harvested and selected strictly by hand, then placed in small crates of 17 kg each.
Planting System and Yield
Double Guyot, yield of approximately 9,000 kg of grapes per hectare, equivalent to 5,700 liters of wine, which is 63% of the total yield.
Harvest Period
End of September, extending into October.
Aging and Fermentation
Delicate and soft whole-cluster pressing for a significant part of the production, with the remaining part undergoing light destemming. Followed by a strict vinification process: settling for natural sedimentation, slow fermentation at controlled temperature (14°/18°); aging for 6/8 months on lees and fine yeasts.
Color
Golden, warm, intense straw yellow
Nose
Enveloping, immediate exotic hints of pineapple and grapefruit. Pleasing development, remarkable mineral sensation.
Palate
A wine of remarkable finesse without giving up its character. Richness, continuity, balance amply satisfy the taste. Persistent, mineral, satisfying pulp.
Food Pairing
Enhances the characteristics with sea and lake fish. Goes well with pasta or rice dishes, pleasantly surprises with flavorful and blue cheeses.
