La Guarda - Chiaretto Doc
It is the producer's experience that comes into play to separate the must from the skins in order to obtain the right shade and intensity of color and the peak of fresh and fruity aromas. The vinification process ends in special temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks.
The ancient processing method and the correct blending of red grape varieties (at least 50% Groppello, the remaining 50% Barbera, Marzemino, and Sangiovese) traditionally grown in Valtènesi on the western shore of Lake Garda on morainic soils, make Chiaretto a unique and exemplary wine, delicate in all its aspects: from the pink color with violet reflections, to the pleasant bouquet, to the soft, decisive, slightly tangy, and salty flavor.
It best expresses its qualities a few months after the harvest.
Served at a temperature of 9/10°C, it is an excellent accompaniment to light first courses, seafood appetizers, lake fish, white meats, and pizza.
