Unknown before 1400, the Marzemino then appears in the Veneto area and partly in the Brescia area, on the hills around Brescia and in the Garda area.
It is probably best known for its mention in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "Don Giovanni", where the protagonist Don Giovanni mentions and requests a glass of Marzemino as a last wish before going to hell ("Pour the wine! Excellent Marzemino!").
A wine with a strong impact, vinified at a controlled temperature between 22° and 25°C in steel fermenters with a long maceration on the skins to extract the best colors and aromas.
