Gozzi - Vigna Magrini
A deep and intense color, intense and enveloping aromas, great character and persistence combined with remarkable longevity make this red wine from Lake Garda the flagship of the company's production, a true source of pride for Cesare and Franco Gozzi. Made only in the best vintages, the wine is obtained from carefully selected Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, hand-picked in one of the oldest vineyards on the property, the Magrini vineyard. Thanks to its stony limestone soil and optimal exposure, this vineyard provides a limited production (about 60q/ha) but of the highest quality.
A wine of great depth, made from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes grown in the vineyard named "Magrini." As the name suggests, the vineyard is located on a morainic, very lean and stony soil. The production is therefore very low (55-60q/ha), with few and small clusters per plant, which are carefully selected and harvested by hand. The grapes rest for a few weeks in small crates, then they are pressed and fermented at a controlled temperature. The wine then undergoes aging in oak barrels, where it matures further until, after at least another two years of bottle aging, it acquires a structure and body that are hard to find in other products. It pairs well with red meats, game, and cheeses, but it is as a wine for meditation that it can be enjoyed in all its nuances. Vintage: 2015 Alcohol content: 15%vol. Serving temperature: 16-18°C
